🛡️ Getting Started with Ledger Wallet Securely
Step 1: Unbox and Inspect
- Make sure the Ledger device is sealed and the box hasn’t been tampered with.
- Inside, you'll find: the device, a USB cable, recovery sheets, and instruction cards.
Step 2: Go to the Official Ledger Site
- Open your browser and visit https://www.ledger.com/start.

Step 3: Download Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the official desktop/mobile app for:
- Setting up your device
- Managing crypto assets
- Installing apps for each blockchain

Step 4: Initialize Your Device
- Connect your device via USB.
- Choose "Set up as new device" if it’s your first time.
- Create a PIN code (4 to 8 digits).

💡 Write down your recovery phrase on the provided sheet. Never share it or store it digitally. This is your backup.
Step 5: Confirm Your Recovery Phrase
- Ledger will ask you to verify your 24 words.
- This ensures you’ve written them down correctly.
Step 6: Add Crypto Accounts
In Ledger Live:
- Navigate to Accounts > Add Account
- Select a crypto (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
- The app installs the required blockchain app on your device and syncs your account.
Step 7: Receive and Send Crypto
- Use Ledger Live to receive crypto safely.
- Always verify the address on the device screen, not just on your computer.
- For sending, confirm the transaction details on the Ledger device before approving.
